Performance mode
On stage, only
what matters is on screen.
A dedicated mode for the gig itself. Every toolbar, menu and mode disappears — you're left with the song, the setlist and a running clock. Design your own layout, drive it hands-free with a foot pedal, and keep your eyes where they belong.
On stage
Start the set. Go full screen. Play.
Performance mode is built right into the normal song view, so it uses the exact same chord and lyric rendering as your library — no duplicated layout, no surprises. What you rehearsed with is what you play from. The difference is everything around it: the app chrome is gone.
You enter it from the Start set button on the gig clock. One tap starts the timer and drops you full screen on the first song of the setlist. The whole setlist sits in a slim rail down the left side — tap any song to jump to it instantly, and the current song stays highlighted so you never lose your place.
On ChordPro songs with no lyrics, the key is shown large and centred in the main area — easy to read from across a dark stage. And because it's the same renderer, PDF, image and HTML attachments show correctly here too.
- Built into the song view — same rendering as your library
- Setlist rail on the left — one tap to switch songs
- Large centred key on lyric-free ChordPro songs
- Gig clock: time of day plus a slot countdown
- PDF, image and HTML attachments render correctly
- Optimised for iPad — works on iPhone too
A WYSIWYG designer in Settings. You place widgets into zones by tapping the widget, then tapping the zone — no dragging. Zones: Top bar, Setlist rail (left), Main area, Bottom left, and Off. An empty zone is fully transparent, so nothing you don't need takes up space on stage.
Save several named layouts — one per band or need. The app remembers the one you used last.
Design & drive
Build the view once. Drive it hands-free all night.
You decide what's on stage. Tap a widget, tap a zone — song title, clock, note button, autoscroll, transpose (♭/♯), metronome, tuner, and a text/chord toggle to show lyrics only or lyrics with chords. Anything you don't want goes to the Off zone and disappears entirely.
The gig clock shows the time of day next to a slot timer that counts down your allotted set length. It runs green, turns amber when under five minutes remain, and goes red on overtime — a glance tells you whether to stretch the solo or wrap it up. It starts the moment you tap Start set.
Everything moves hands-free. An AirTurn, MIDI or HID foot pedal turns songs and pages so your hands stay on the instrument. PDF charts turn page by page; on the last page, the pedal jumps to the next song. Autoscroll rolls for real, following the song's own length.
Save a layout per band or per room, name it, and Strofa loads the one you used last. Performance mode is built for the iPad on your stand — the stage device — and works on iPhone when that's all you've got.
